I know I do not go home a lot and some who read this blog may agree. Once you leave home its almost like why go back for me.
In Spartanburg there are a lot of killings and other physical altercations. In 2000 my first cousin Fred Landrum was shot at Applebees by the Westgate Mall in Spartanburg. It was a case of mistaken identity. Unfortunately he was partially paralyzed in the shotting and now he has to walk with to forearm crutches or be pushed in a wheelchair. That is not the most recent of violence that struck home for me.
Less than a month ago my cousin was stabbed at Club Hush also located in close proximity to Westgate Mall. He was stabbed three times, twice in the back and once in the arm. This occured during a fight and he was not aware of what happened until he got outside. He was rushed to the hospital and was rushed to surgery where his lung collapsed. He was stabilized and remained in the hospital for two days.
On the day of his release he reopened a wound on his back and a blood clot formed. He had to be put back into surgery but, he pulled out and he is doing fine now.
I love myself, family and friends. I value those who cause both good and bad to come into my life because its a learning experience until you breathe your last breath. P.S. Hip-Hop loves the kids
